INCEPTION

The inception of the Shaaz Foundation was to break the migration cycle in Bihar to ensure child rights, but very soon we realized that vicious factors which makes children and wives of migrant worker is not just breadwinners’ spatial movement from one place to the other. It takes a high extent deprivation of livelihood assets, employment opportunity, and skill set of the migrant. It’s not the migration but there are a range of factors that maintains the migration cycle – Shaaz Foundation then took up the challenges to reduce the vulnerability of migrant workers at individual, household, and policy level while keeping migration at the center.

Shaaz Foundation intends to enable migrant workers and their family members to engage in economic activities and also help them to build livelihood assets which will effectively reduce. their vulnerability so that they can live a dignified life with their loved ones.
